If you have a 2013 model with NBT like the Active Hybrid 3, 5 or 7 series, you should be able to use this if you get a software update from your dealer. App must be installed while USB is connected to the vehicle while on the BMW Apps screen under connected drive Android phone must be on version 4.4 or higher MY14 vehicle equipped with NBT navigation I think to have this work, you must meet all of these requirements Everything seems to work except for the web radio app which isn't developed as of yet. My car is a 2012 model but I have a retrofitted NBT head unit with 6NR BMW Apps and the iDrive 4.2 update with no touchpad. I tried installing the BMW Connected App before connecting it to my vehicle and it wouldn't read the phone in accessory mode but after uninstalling BMW Connected and reinstalling it while it was connected to the armrest, it worked. One thing you have to do though is that you have to install the App at the time the phone is connected to the USB port in the armrest.
I just took my friend's Nexus 5 and the app is a bit buggy but still works.
